Welcome to Mi Clandestina, a heartfelt home designed by me, filled with inspiration & interior design details rooted in the sentiment of leaving a legacy of love. Love is why we’re here, and we’re here to inspire. From the poet’s heartfelt recitals, to the melodic rhythms of musicians, and comedians pouring laughter into your cup, and other creative artistry like paintings, vinyls, pottery, and more. Every poetry night is unique, yet the connection fulfills a sense of belonging, authenticity, mirroring your own worth and the potential in you ✨
Each performer and guest will receive a flower upon entering my home to honor our own individual beauty. 🌸 Each poet will recite their poem with the background of jazz 🎙️ Each musician will seranade us with their musical talents 🎶 Each storyteller will leave footprints of oral tradition in our hearts 📖 Thank you ALL for sharing your art and being present 🫶🏽
Please arrive on time 🙏🏽 My team and I will greet everyone coming in and get you acclimated and provide a small tour of my home and seat you afterwards 🏡 Como decimos en Latinoamerica, Mi casa es tu casa 🩵
15 performers total–granting each one 5 minutes each. We are starting promptly at 5 after social hour (if mostly everyone arrives on time. But I’m fully aware that my community usually doesn’t & that’s okay 👌🏾 Just be mindful please 🩵
4-5PM— Social hour/Tour of home/Connecting with other artists and guests/Cafecitos/Tea/Empanadas/Flowers
5PM-6:30 PM SHARP- Performers begin (5 minutes each)
6:30-7 PM CONCLUSION/Final Reading from Mi Clandestina as we all hold hands in solidarity, with a flower in hand 🌸
Musicians bringing their own equipment (Please
come slightly earlier to help set up. If you arrive late, it’s possible you won’t be able to perform to not disrubt the other artists.
I will be assigning seating. Those who come first will get the best seats in the house 🙏🏽
PARKING- Spring St is a one way. There are several outdoor and indoor lots right next to my home (Joe’s Parking Lots) Uber/carpool is recommended. Keep in mind. Sometimes there are movies being filmed on my street. If so, Joe’s Lots are probably taken.
If Joe’s Lots are full (& or expensive), my favorite lot is Pacific Electric Lofts (just a 3-5 minute walk to my place) because it’s more affordable and indoors and there is security ($10-$15) Paragon parking (710 S Spring St) is another good option ($10-$15) Street parking on Spring St or Main St can be found also. The yellow loading zones are free at 6 or after
When you arrive to my building, there’s a butterfly intercom on the side. please press POESIA (763742). Apt is PH1 when you enter the elevator.

A few wonderful souls have offered to contribute to this event, such as Domnican Atabey Coffee Roasters with her delicious cafecitos. I will have empanadas as well. I think food is a form of art, and nothing makes me happier than to serve a piece of tradition to enjoy around an artistic evening ✨ There will be coffee, tea, and empanadas. You can bring your preferred bottle of wine as I totally understand we all have our preference.

Poetry, music, & design are a harmonious union, each is a sacred offering of self expression, devotion, a telling of a story. We don’t have to simply exist. We can be as intentional as the full moon that shines light on the smallest of things, which tend to be the most extraordinary 🌙
May we cultivate space to find the beauty in ourselves, despite the sorrows. Each one of us is living poetry & music 💙
There is a $15 donation with this reservation for this inspirational, poetic and musical intimate evening. This supports Mi Clandestina’s vision of preserving roots inside homes and its expansion into other cities and Latin America, alongside the wonderful souls through the form of food that contribute to this special evening.
