Craig Knoblock is Keston Executive Director of the USC Information Sciences Institute and Vice-Dean of Engineering at USC, and has been a leading AI researcher for four decades and is co-founder of several successful spinoffs on AI and data technologies.
Moderator:
Adam Russell is Director of the Artificial Intelligence Division at ISI and host of the AInsiders podcast, with a distinguished career in government and academia that emphasizes the role of the social and behavioral sciences in technology and more recently in AI safety and ethics.
Panelists:
Kristina Lerman is a Principal Scientist at ISI and Research Professor in Computer Science who is widely recognized for her research on network science and its applications in social networks to understand influence and human behavior including AI fairness and social inequities.
Jonathan May is a Research Lead at ISI and Research Associate Professor in Computer Science who has been building language models in industry and academia for over two decades notably for machine translation with a recent focus on bias mitigation and social justice.
Yolanda Gil is Senior Director of AI and Data Science Strategy and Fellow at ISI, and has a distinguished career of AI research, standards, and community leadership with recognitions and awards for interdisciplinary work on AI for climate, neuroscience, and health.
Karl Jacob is a serial entrepreneur and investor who started his career as a student at ISI where he serves as an advisor. He is also a member of the the USC Viterbi School of Engineering’s Board of Councilors.
