We are living through intensifying polycrisis—wildfires, political restrictions, and threats to our rights and representation. Survival Strategies isn’t just about resistance or endurance; it’s about resilience, imagination, and collective care. How do we build systems of resistance that are adaptive, regenerative, and rooted in collaboration? Join us for an evening of performances during Frieze LA to raise funds GRIEFxHOPE and LA Ayuda. The evening of song, poetry, dance, funk, tea, and radical joy invites you into a space to exhale grief and inhale hope, to reconnect with the power of our bodies, our voices, and of being with each other. This is a moment to stand in solidarity, celebrate community, and support those impacted by disaster. With special performances by Jay Carlon ~ Paige Emery ~ D'Leau ~ Juliet Mendoza ~ Vera Sola ~ Mandy Harris Williams ~ K Allado-McDowell ~ Xin Liu ~ Crystal Jiko Sasaki ~ Neaz Kohani + More Suggested donation of $20+ per guest. 100% of proceeds will support: - GRIEFxHOPE, an organization distributing funds to artists and arts workers affected by the LA Fires, and - LA Ayuda Network (Los Angeles Artists Yield: Union for Distributing Aid), an artist-led group committed to providing vetted health communications and resources (PPE, tenants' rights information) to Angelenos most impacted by the fires. The evening is presented by West of Here and curated by Zandie Brockett, made possible by Artifacts, BANK MAB Society, Make Room and Soho Warehouse. The evening is co-hosted in community with Ghebaly Gallery, Sow + Tailor and Greg Ito Studio.
