This monthly series exists to address the diseases of the heart that specifically afflict those who serve the Muslim community. For each ailment covered, the series will explore: • Its significance and impact on the individual, on the community, and on the quality of the work being done • Its root causes and symptoms: how to recognize it in yourself and gauge its severity • Its cures: practical, actionable treatments Doing good work for the sake of Allah does not automatically protect the heart. If these ailments go unaddressed, they can quietly corrode the quality of the work itself and the reward behind it. Our goal is for these monthly sessions to serve as preventive and restorative heart-care for people who are otherwise focused outward, on everyone but themselves.
