Join us for a colorful evening on the water as we celebrate Pride Month with a sunset paint paddle! We'll meet at 6:30 PM at the Mountain Island Kayak Access (Latta Nature Preserve) and hit the water by 7:00 PM. After a short paddle out, we'll drop anchors, settle in, and spend the evening painting, connecting, and enjoying the sunset together.
I'll provide small canvases with floral outline designs, along with basic paint and brushes to get everyone started. You're also welcome (and encouraged!) to bring your own paints, brushes, markers, or other art supplies if you'd like to get creative and make your piece uniquely yours.
This paddle is open to all LGBTQIA+ community members, queer folks, and strong allies. Whether you're coming with friends or showing up solo, we'd love to have you join us.
As always, you'll need your own paddleboard, life jacket, and lights if staying out past sunset. If you don't have equipment, please reach out to Merina! We can't make any guarantees, but we'll do our best to help connect you with rental options, spare equipment, or other solutions. We want this event to be as accessible and inclusive as possible.

⚠️ It will be dark on the paddle back, so EVERYONE IS REQUIRED to bring a light! Either a headlamp or a white navigation light securely attached to your board. ⚠️ For safety reasons, organizers reserve the right to turn away anyone without proper lighting. The more visible your board is, the better!

1. Please note that this event is weather permitting. In case of adverse weather conditions, the event may be rescheduled or canceled for safety reasons.
2. Safety is our priority. All participants must follow water safety guidelines and regulations, and adhere to responsible outdoor behavior.
3. This is a self-guided paddle; participants are responsible for their equipment and safety.
4. Please arrive on time to ensure we make the most of our adventure.
