The singularity is coming! Eventually, someone's going to have to decide how to run... everything. The lightcone, the cosmic endowment, the whole future.
History tells us that when that moment arrives, people reach for whatever's already been written down. The US Constitution borrowed from Locke. Ninety countries lifted language straight from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The documents sitting on the table when the pressure hits? Those are the ones that shape the future.
We'd like those documents to be good.
This is a structured, half-day workshop where we'll work to write a seed document covering:
🔴 Failure modes — How does post-AGI governance go catastrophically wrong? Value lock-in, S-risks, power concentration, and the ones we haven't named yet.
🟡 Ontological gaps — What concepts do we not even have the words for? Moral patienthood, digital individuation, harm in a world where you can copy minds? What definitions do we need before we can write rules.
🔵 Stakeholder map — We don't get to write the constitution. Powerful actors will. Who are they, what do they want, and where will they deadlock?
Bring a laptop! Shadow-box to the Hamilton soundtrack! Let's gooo!
