>.<Our community member, Illias, was detained by ICE on March 11th. Illias is a caring partner, friend, and member of our community. His sudden detention has been incredibly painful for those who know and love him. This fundraiser, as well as the GoFundMe in our bio, is to help cover the urgent legal expenses needed to support his case and to prepare for a possible bond so that he may be able to return home while his case moves forward. All funds raised will go directly toward immigration attorney fees, potential bond payment, and court and case-related expenses.
From Illias's partner Hannah: "Illias and I hardly go a day without being in each other’s arms. His love to me is unlike anything I have ever been shown. His love is unconditional, and he is so understanding and open. We were in the process of moving in together, and were prepping our future together. We wanted to get a dog. We planned to marry, he got me a promise ring to symbolize our future. We wanted to have kids, talked about names. Talked about long term goals that would be built here in America. Opening our own restaurant, bar, and cafe. He continues to support my career and pushes for my greatness. I can’t express how much I love him. He is the love of my life."
