Join us for a 3.5-hour guided journey into the wild animate intelligence of place, where the landscape of your body meets the body of the land. We'll explore how our shape and our breath changes in relationship with water, stone, trees, and birds - embracing the expansive range of the fierce raw power of water, the hollowed stumps of giants, the thick verdant carpets of moss, and the reaching branches. This journey invites you into an intimate relationship with the more-than-human world, facilitated by Dr. Andi Chatburn — who will guide you into embodied connection with the landscape, inviting you to notice how your body responds, opens, and reshapes in relationship with the wild animate others. Photographer and educator Paget Norton will move with the group — guiding, witnessing, and capturing. Her camera becomes another form of listening: catching the moment your spine softens against bark, the breath that shifts when cold water meets skin. These images aren't portraits in the traditional sense. They're documents of reunion — evidence of the moment you remembered what your body already knows. All images will stay within the container of the group unless express permission is given to share. We will follow the questions the land is already asking. How does your shape change when you're breathing with redwood, letting their oxygen penetrate your lungs and giving them back your exhale in a mutual dance of nourishment? What if you immerse yourself in the pools, and slide against boulders? What if you take from nature for your pleasure, and nature takes from you for theirs? We will wander with both seen and unseen beings, and explore how we impact and are impacted by the wild animate others. This isn't a walk to break you, but to seep into your bones. Come kiss the ground with your feet. What if the Earth is longing for the particular way you love the world, and is waiting, longing to love you back?
