This year, I will run the Chicago and the NYC Marathons with Team to End AIDS and I’m asking you to be part of something bigger than just a race.
Growing up in the Greek community, I was always taught that you are part of something larger than yourself. You carry your people with you. That sense of belonging has shaped who I am. As a proud member of the LGBTQ community in Chicago, and in a city as powerful as New York, I feel deeply connected to the strength and resilience of our community. That is what this marathon feels like to me.
I train, race, and fundraise with Team to End AIDS and AIDS Foundation Chicago because ending the HIV epidemic takes real commitment. It takes connecting people to treatment, prevention, and housing support so they can live full and healthy lives. It takes community showing up for one another.
Let’s show up, show out, and get closer to zero new cases of HIV, together.
