Let's leave the neat-and-tidy to the robots, shall we? In this hands-on virtual workshop, we'll take a quick plunge into what it means to write short fiction freely, dreamily -- humanly. Through prompts and discussion, we'll uncover unexpected story portals and follow their unique labyrinthian tunnels out the other side. Together, we'll leap from image to sensation, from memory to imagination, and practice writing the kinds of stories that travel heart-to-heart. You'll come away from this workshop with three story-starts that feel alive -- as well as a deeper respect for, and connection to, your messy, wild, deeply human intelligence.
No previous writing experience required, and if you can't make it live, I'll be sending out the recording afterwards. This workshop is free for folks who preorder a copy of Weird Babies.
