The CHIRP Music Film Fest is proud to collaborate with Gman Tavern for a special screening of Dolly Parton's Straight Talk! Released in 1992, Straight Talk stars Dolly Parton as Shirlee Kenyon, a small-town Arkansas dance instructor who moves to Chicago and accidentally becomes a hit radio advice host. Mistaken for a psychologist, she charms listeners with honesty and common sense while juggling fame, city life, and romance until the truth about her credentials threatens everything and forces her to confront the truth about who she is and what really makes her voice worth hearing. Arrive early for the chance to show off your Dolly knowledge to win some fabulous film-related prizes! Doors open at 6:30, with the screening starting at 7:30 PM.
