Why are we doing this?

SFGATE's newsroom is now accepting walk-ins – meet a journalist, pitch us a story and grab some free local art while you’re at it. Come join us on JFK Promenade at 8th Avenue, where you’ll find a dozen SFGATE journalists working out of a temporary newsroom we’re building for the day. We want to hear what’s going on in your corner of the city and what you want us to cover. (Can't make it to this one? Our second pop-up newsroom is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, at the Marina Green Triangle.)
