Crafting Your Sound: SP 404 Workshop led by MLTZR July 18, 2026 In person and online (class will be recorded and sent after course) 6:00-9:00pm $90 - via venmo *sliding scale scholarships available (see link to apply!) ||| About the workshop: Join MLTZR for an in-depth look at one of the most popular and versatile samplers ever on the market: the SP-404! The SP series of samplers has been used by artists of all genres for many reasons since their introduction over 20 years ago. In this workshop, we will cover basic workflow concepts, as well as creative processes and techniques to unlock inspiration and enhance your individual musical methodology. Rather than focusing on a specific genre or sound, we will go over how the SP-404 can be used in a variety of settings from music creation to performance with a band or as a solo artist, and anywhere in between. A lot of people have the new SP-404MKII, and I will primarily be using this model for the demonstration, but this workshop will be relevant and applicable to all models in the SP series including the SP-202, SP-303, SP-404, SP-555, SP-404A and SP-404SX. All skill levels are welcome!
