Intentional Listening: sounds from NZ

For this session, all the sounds are from Aotearoa aka New Zealand, and most of the music is from the time period I lived there, working in an Auckland record store. There is also audio from recordings I made in various locations interspersed throughout and cut-up samples of spoken word from Kiwi sources creating a sparse narrative structure.
The purpose of these intentional listening events is to elevate the experience of audio, making the art of sound the primary focus of our attention. No multi-tasking, phones, or conversation. We give our undivided attention to interesting audio for the length of an eclectic mix.
Feel free to come early and hang out later.
