Join us on *our new date*, Thursday, July 27th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Ke-nee-go-keshek Fine Arts Workshop for a recycled papermaking demonstration with poet Katya Borkov.
Capacity is limited to 10 participants, so be sure to RSVP! A $10-$20 suggested donation at the door helps the studio cover the cost of supplies.
Participants are invited to bring their own (non-coated) paper scraps, cardboard, paper cartons, and newspaper to turn into wonderfully textured 5” x 7” sheets of paper. Please refrain from bringing magazines or junk mail with plastic coating, as they don’t take well to this process. You’re welcome to bring dried herbs and flowers to add to your paper!
Your handmade sheets of paper will be left at the studio overnight to dry, and can be picked upat any of our Open Studio events (which take place on Sundays, check our partiful calendar!) until the end of October.
Workshop attendees are also welcome to join us for a scrapbooking workshop with Alexis Osifo (date TBD), to create new works of art using their handmade paper.
To enter the studio, buzz “Chashama” and head down the stairs to the left, through the set of double doors, and you’ll see the studio entrance on your left.
