Two sisters. One mission. A reckoning long overdue.
Is God Is follows Racine and Anaia — twin sisters bearing the scars of a childhood fire — who receive word that the mother they believed dead is still alive. What begins as a cross-country journey to her bedside becomes something far more complex: a confrontation with family, grief, rage, and what it means to survive the people who were supposed to protect you.
Written and directed by Aleshea Harris (adapted from her acclaimed stage play), the film is a Southern Gothic revenge story with style, spiritual weight, and a lot to say about Black womanhood, familial wounds, and the cost of justice.
We'll screen the film followed by a guided discussion.
