VIKING DAY: Be Strong to Be Useful
We are building a place where people can come together, unplug from the digital world, relax, connect, and be active in nature. A place like that does not build or care for itself. It takes a village, and we need your help to make it real.
Viking Day is one way we do that. In the spirit of the old Norse ways the land truly does not belong to us.
We belong to the land.
This is a day to come together in the fresh air, work with our hands, and care for the land that holds us. We will prepare for spring and help shape a place that can nourish community for seasons to come.
We’ll be working side by side to restore the gardens, chop wood, revitalize the bouldering area, as well as mend and care for things in the house and improve the systems gone fallow. It is a chance to be useful, to share labor, and to leave the land better than we found it.

4:00pm | Dinner - We’ll celebrate our labor with a communal dinner
What to Bring:
- Sturdy shoes or boots
- Work gloves (if you have them) we will have a few loaner pairs of various sizes
- An attitude of stewardship
