It's 1976, Joni has just returned from a solo road trip across America, and is ready to bare her soul as she always has, capturing audiences with her depth, insight and charm. The show spans eight studio albums from Songs to a Seagull to Hejira, featuring most prominently the songs from her acclaimed album Blue. Since 2012 and many devoted years of research, Rainee has been transporting audiences back in time, playing the dulcimer and Joni's unique guitar tunings. In this intimate tribute, including monologues spoked from the perspective of Joni, you'll gain deeper understanding of some of your favorite songs and the push and pull between love and freedom that so colored Joni's work. Rainee Blake is an Australian-born singer-songwriter, actress and writer based in Los Angeles. She is best known for her role as Alannah on CMT’s Nashville. She has released music in her own right with influences ranging from 1970s soul, to folk and pop. Rainee swept the Hollywood Fringe Festival winning 5 awards and has performed two sell out runs at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Soho Playhouse (NYC).
