No one turned away for lack of funds! 💸 21+ Brawny Lad is a trio from Ypsilanti consisting of Tom McCartan on upright bass and vocals, Davey Jones on banjo and lilting harmonies, and Tom Green on pedal steel. Their sound is a unique blend drawing from a number of American musical traditions. The effect teeters somewhere between high lonesome and Midwestern esotericism. Stefan Weiner is a Brooklyn-based queer indie folk singer-songwriter. Stefan creates a musical space for people to access a deeper vulnerability. In his recent appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he won the Battle of the Instant Songwriters competition with a very gay song about the World Cup. No matter what music Stefan is making, queerness and catharsis are always at the center. Carmel Liburdi is a Detroit based musician and multimedia artist. They have been performing original songs in the Detroit area and all around the US since 2015, with albums released as far back as 2010. Their songs are relatable, honest, and combine multiple genres into a unique sound that reflects their love of all music styles.
