The Boston Liberation Center is a socialist, working class community center on 194 Blue Hill Ave in the heart of Roxbury. We bring people together to learn about, discuss and fight around the most critical issues that we face as working class people — from racist police brutality and skyrocketing rents to poverty wages, union busting, and never-ending wars. We recognize that only together can we fight for a new society that prioritizes people over profit.

FEATURED PERFORMANCE: LEGACY THORNTON
Legacy Thornton is a 25 y/o non binary Black Womxn (woman-x) from Boston, Massachusetts. Slam poet turned poetry coach turned freelancer, Legacy has steadily made strides catering to their growing expansiveness as a multi-hyphenate artist. Their latest strides include performing in a local musical held at The Strand Theater, curating a Doechii-inspired music video to their recent song, Workin, having a poem featured on Button Poetry, walking in various local fashion shows, and performing at BAMS Fest, the ICA, and at other locally-led initiatives. Having recently resigned from the US postal service, they’re using this time to nurture the bond they have with themselves and their small communal circles. Through the mediums they explore, they seek to understand more about themselves and the communities they inhabit. They strive to shed more light and affirming representation on gender, sexuality, and the Black experience.
