Join us on August 22nd at 12 PM at Ichiban Sushi and Ramen (5127 N Florida Ave.) for a Foiled Book Edge Workshop with special guest author, A.R. Bledsoe!!! 📖
Bring a new or gently used book and learn how to create stunning metallic foiled page edges from start to finish. A.R. will teach us how to prep the edges with sandpaper, apply the foil, and use a heat tool to reveal your custom gilded design!
Your $45 ticket includes foiling for 1 book of your choice, foiling a bookmark, light snacks and beverages, access to wax paper patterns and designs so your book can truly come together, and step by step instruction from a local fantasy author. Ticket costs (along with the optional costs) are sent via Venmo or Zelle, information attached to the Partiful reservation.
Optional upgrade: Sprayed edges are available for $15 extra (select in Partiful). Books can be dropped off in Brandon, FL, with participants dropping them off at least 2 weeks before the event.
Want to support the author even more?! A.R. will also have copies of her books available for $20–$35, and if you purchase one of her books, the sprayed edges upgrade is completely FREE! ✨
This special collab is limited to 24 spots and no refunds are available to keep the event planning and material costs running smoothly. You do not need to be super artsy to participate, she will provide plenty of patterns and designs for us to trace and foil with. Come create a one-of-a-kind book and spend the afternoon with a local author as well as your local bookish community!!!
