Desire and Performance: A Reading and Poetry Writing Workshop

Join us for a drink inspired reading and collaborative poetry writing workshop! Local author and teacher Matt Edwards will read short, original poetry pieces written about good strong drinks, inspired by good strong drinks, and written while consuming good strong drinks (thus, the theme emerges). Then, participants will be led through a brief poetry workshop, where Matt will provide folks with time and various strategies to construct their own short poems. To conclude, everyone will have a chance to step up to the mic and share what they’ve developed.
