Lit Out Loud NYC is a new live literary forum that aims to transform the solitary act of reading into a social experience. We host live events where award-winning audiobook narrators and actors bring a range of diverse titles to life.
Join us on March 12 as award-winning voice-over actor Samantha Brentmoor brings Female Fantasy to life — a sharp, can’t-put-it-down novel that’s as juicy as it is thought-provoking.
Female Fantasy follows Joonie, a copywriter and devoted fanfic writer who’s sworn off real men in favor of Ryke, the brooding merman hero of her favorite fantasy series. When she discovers Ryke was inspired by a real person, she sets off to find him — dragging along her brother’s cynic best friend — in a witty, romantic, and surprisingly tender story about fantasy, self-acceptance, longing, and what it means to want something (or someone) real.
And yes… the brilliant author Iman Hariri-Kia will be in the room with us. ✨
