hope you have a good time presents our fourth group show: queer this is a multimedia art show at a private residence in los angeles. hope you have a good time believes in third spaces with a purpose of building community around art. show itinerary 5:00pm doors open 6:30pm Julian Forest 7:00pm Janessa 8:15pm film block 10:00pm close there are also community-based art experiences, a donation based drinks bar, and a DJ set by emily alegria. we are very proud of our artists represented in this show: over 30 artists from around the world are shown here, with hundreds of creative-minded members backing up their work. this community represents the power of people when we come together and we are so excited to welcome you into this space. this show is bringing together artists predominantly from Los Angeles to inquire how the concept of queerness impacts them - utilizing the following quote from bell hooks: "queer not as being about who you are having sex with, that can be a dimension of it, but queer as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live."
