The COLLEGE OF KNOWLEDGE is a FREE knowledge sharing initiative covering a wide range of subjects and ideas for the curious at heart. Backcountry Skills Class: Navigation and Knots Participants ages 12 and older, will learn the basic skills required to read topographic maps and navigate by compass. We will also learn useful knots and how to implement them for problem solving. The knots we will cover include the taut-line hitch, clove hitch, bowline, and butterfly knot. Come learn new skills and build your self reliance. Our Instructor, David Wilson, will bring all of his scouting knowledge and skills. If you have a compass, bring it along.
