Welcome to the second meeting of the Paper Trail Book Club, where we aim to explore the natural beauty of the Bay Area while discussing a different book every month! This month we are reading Mostly Human Resources by Grace Viall! It’s a fantasy book set in the Appalachian Mountains and follows a protagonist who works for an organization dedicated to documenting cryptids in the region. To fully immerse ourselves in the vibes of the Appalachian Mountains, this month our trail will be at Purisma Creek, nestled between San Mateo and Half Moon Bay. Get ready for a hike surrounded by lush ferns, eery coastal fog, and more banana slugs than you can count. Full details of the trail can be found at the All Trails link above! IMPORTANT: We will meet at the trailhead for an icebreaker and depart half an hour from the designated start time, so please be sure to arrive by 9:30 am at the latest. Paper Trail Book Club is a safe space for bookworms and hikers of all backgrounds. Anyone engaging in misogynistic, racist, homophobic, or any sort of bigoted conduct will be asked to leave and will not be welcome to join us for future activities.
