Bad Movie Night Brooklyn is back, and this time we're celebrating Pride Month at Wild East Brewing with a screening of a 2007 underground film featuring a world-famous icon, RuPaul! It's Starrbooty! Originally a series of short films created in the late 80's prior to their discovery, RuPaul returned upon finding success (but before becoming a world-reknown television icon!) to remake and reimagine her heroine for the new age! Plot: In this raunchy parody of blaxploitation genre films, RuPaul is top secret agent Starrbooty, a super badass crimefighter who learns that her niece has been taken hostage by human trafficking cartels. Learning that this ring has connections to the world of high fashion and it's biggest CEO, Starrbooty has to go undercover as a prostitute in order to get into her inner circles! Featuring an all-queer cast that includes Lady Bunny and Candis Cayne, Starrbooty is RuPaul's take on the John Water's style of Bad Taste cinema, featuring iconic looks, biting sass, and a whole lot of shocking raunch! This is definitely going to be a 21+ screening, so get ready to see RuPaul like you've never see her before! Doors open at 7:30, movie starts shortly after.
