A night of building bridges through music, poetry and storytelling.
Earth to Austin is growing community all about reconnecting with what makes us human: our stories. Whether it be through prompted discussion, music, poetry, art, etc - we get back to basics: raw expression. It's a laid-back, down-to-EARTH space and there’s always room at this table!
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Anyone with a pulse, who is craving a community that wants to feel more connected to themselves and others, and to what it means to really be HUMAN — emotional, weird, imperfect, and also badass. 😎
👽 WHAT TO EXPECT
1. Deep dive conversations and discussion:sometimes it's breakout groups, sometimes it's circling up - either way it's a way to build meaningful connections and set the tone for openness and vulnerability.
2. Highlighted Humans: Spotlighted people will share their story. We've ALLLLL got something to say.
3. Open Mic: The mic is yours. Whether it’s a song, a poem, a story, or one of our prompted questions- this is your moment to be heard and felt. We especially love anything that feels at your edge - originals and meaningful shares encouraged.
WHAT TO BRING:
-A cushion to sit on (let’s keep it cozy!)
-Water to stay hydrated
-Anything you’d like to share for open mic
-Whatever emotion is alive for you in the moment - no need to “turn it on” for this event.
-A friend!
