Twenty-one years ago, my band Hector On Stilts released an album called Same Height Relation. It is officially old enough to walk into the NYC bars it helped define.
To celebrate, we are reuniting for one night only at Baker Falls, the former Rockwood Stage 2, on Sunday May 31. We will play the entire album from start to finish.
This show is deeply personal. Like many New York musicians, I supported my music career for years by working in the trenches of this city’s hospitality industry. From 2nd Ave Deli to L’Artusi and the notorious cabaret, The Box, those rooms shaped me as much as any stage did. I’ve since become a featured vocalist with the Losers Lounge, New York’s legendary tribute concert series, performing regularly at Joe’s Pub.
Today I serve as Brand Ambassador for Curious Elixirs, a non-alcoholic craft cocktail brand built on the belief that the best nights don’t require alcohol. We are partnering with Baker Falls to bring that experience alongside their full bar. Whatever you’re drinking, we want you in the room.
The stakes are real. Baker Falls is currently fighting potential foreclosure. One of the tracks on our new companion record, Same Height Creation, was recorded in this very building. It breaks my heart to think it might not be here next year. Showing up is the least we can do.
Tickets at the door:
$10 GA | $15 Front Row | $21 Box Seats
Rooms like Baker Falls don’t last forever. Neither do reunions. Let’s make this one count!
