Join us in Crown Heights for an evening of spirited Sephardic music, in collaboration with special guests Rabbi Yosef Goldman of Kedmah and Oudist Josh Kaye. Guided by Rabbi Goldman and Josh, we will start by learning a Pizmon from Baghdad traditionally sung before Pesach and explore its meaning together, and then continue with communal singing of songs from across the Sephardic world. Please bring friends, songs, songbooks, instruments, and/or community refreshment (Nothing containing nuts, sesame, or sunflower seeds, please!). No prior knowledge or beliefs of any kind are required. We can’t stress enough: everyone is welcome to learn and sing, regardless of background or experience.
