Jacob will be giving a presentation on the illegal wildlife trade with videos of his work worldwide.
There will be prizes to the audience including a pair of tickets to Gelli Haha's concert at Meow Wolf and a signed vinyl from the band.
The event is a pay what you can with a minimum of $12, but we would encourage $20 so that we can help make a difference in these small grassroots organizations. The proceeds will help rehabilitate and medicate rescued pangolins before they are released into the wild and as for Peace Sisters, with every $40 given, you are putting one girl in school for an entire year in Togo, Africa.
NOTE:
This event is hosted in a home in Midtown near Axelrad. After the event a small house party will carry on to meet other like minded people. Feel free to stick around and enjoy House Party Comedy.
About House Party Comedy:
HPC started in 2015 and since then has raised over $25,000 to various charities in animal conservation and women in education. HPC is now an annual fixture to The Comedy Store and other venues in Los Angeles hosting such acts as Sarah Sherman (SNL), Kyle Kinane (Netflix's Love), Illiza Shlesinger, Neil Hamburger, Rachel Wolfson (Jackass Forever), & more. At the house in Houston, Daniel Johnston, Whitest Kids U Know, Daniel Van Kirk (Bob's Burger's), and many more.
Through entertainment, our nonprofit brings people together to support small grassroots organizations. By booking comedians, we use humor as a powerful tool to enlighten guests, spark empathy, and inspiration through DIY.
