Handog is a Tagalog word for “gift,” an offering to a loved one, or a dedication.
In this gathering, we'll explore the many gifts of pagbabalik-loob (home-returnings) through food, stories, ancestral rememberings, and so much more.
Come and partake in the many gifts of our Filipino community:
-delicious foods from the motherland using local ingredients
-talks around the table about our decolonization journeys through growing and cooking food, reflections on sustainability via art and creative practice
-embodied storytelling
-songs and dances that transport us to a place we call home, even if we've never been and so much more!
