Ever feel like your identity lives between cultures, countries, or languages? Maybe you have a long answer to the question, "Where is home?" You might be a Third Culture Kid or someone who connects to more than one place in your own way.
If that sounds like you, come join our Third Culture Potluck + Meetup in Austin! This time we are gathering around food from every corner of our identities.
🥘 POTLUCK WITH A TWIST: Bring a Dish From a Culture You Identify With
It can be:
- A classic dish from one of your cultures
- Or a fun fusion creation that mixes multiple parts of your identity
- Like a quesadilla filled with Thai flavors or a bagel topped with olive oil and zaatar...Or any creative bridge between your worlds
Simple or elaborate, store-bought or homemade, it is all welcome. The goal is to share flavors and stories.
🌟Please bring your own tupperware and eating utensils so we can keep waste to a minimum. This means if there is leftover food... you can take some home!🌟
Whether you grew up across countries, moved a lot, or simply carry multiple cultural identities within you, this is a space to reconnect, share, and belong, wherever "home" may be.
