The Philippine #textile and #fashion industry faces challenges such as waste management, market competitiveness, consumer awareness, and policy support and regulation, among others. Although there are already circular economy (CE) initiatives in the country now, we still lack a nationally-led, long-term, integrated, and holistic-approach CE roadmap.
๐ฃ This workshop aims to bring industry stakeholders together and foster collaboration to discuss the current landscape of our local industry, assess the newly developed frameworks and roadmaps, share firsthand insights and experiences, and kick-start the co-creation of a collaborative and comprehensive roadmap to advance circularity, innovation, and sustainable growth in the textile and fashion industry of the Philippines.
This roadmap will guide the national government agencies, local government units, civil society organizations, private enterprises, academic institutions, fashion brands, designers, and other stakeholders across the value chain in shaping their policies, plans, and projects.
