The second-annual Behind the Camera House returns to Park City on Sunday, January 25, 2026, for our final Park City edition before we follow Sundance to Boulder, CO! Join industry professionals, creatives, and media for an afternoon dedicated to connection, craft, and community during the Festival! Designed as the definitive home base for creatives, Behind the Camera House offers a rare space to come together during this landmark Sundance, spotlighting the artists who shape film from behind the scenes and creating conversations you won’t find anywhere else at the festival. With a focus on editing, cinematography, composing, directing, and more, the activation honors the collaborative artistry that has defined Sundance for decades. Throughout the day, attendees will gain exclusive insight into the creative processes behind films premiering at Sundance through a curated series of panels. Each conversation will dive into the craftsmanship, storytelling, and creative decision-making that shape today’s most compelling cinema. Panel themes include “How Do You Make Darkness Funny? Comedy Techniques from Composers, Editors, and Casting Directors,” “How Do You Film What Can't Be Seen? Cinematographers and Editors Reveal What's Hidden,” and “How Do You Edit a Story That Spans 1,000 Years? Techniques for Working Across Time.” Following each panel, guests are invited to stay and connect at our networking mixers, creating meaningful opportunities to build relationships within the festival community and film industry. From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the experience expands with a special extended mixer featuring WikiPortraits, offering high-quality portraits for Wikimedia Commons and personal use. Behind the Camera House is where craft meets community, bringing together the artists shaping the film landscape from behind the scenes.
