WHAT IS A SALON NIGHT?
A monthly open studio for local artists to share, engage, and build community.
Gallery ATARAH's Salon Nights revive the tradition of intimate artistic gatherings—spaces where artists came together to share work, exchange ideas, and build community outside formal institutions. In a contemporary art world that can feel increasingly transactional, we're creating a space where art thrives through genuine connection, not gallery politics.
This isn't a formal exhibition—it's a casual, yet intentional, gathering in a working artist's studio. The gallery remains exactly as it exists that day: works in progress, materials on tables, whatever's actively being made. Come see what's happening, meet other artists, and be in the presence of people who understand why making art matters.
Bring your own work to share if you'd like—finished pieces, sketches, projects in progress, books that inspire you. Or come to simply explore, engage, and connect.
Wine flows, conversations unfold naturally, zero pressure to perform or impress. This is about presence, not presentation. Connection, not curation.

This is different from January's recent Salon Night!
In January, "Salon Night No. 1" was our opening reception for a curated group exhibition.

SALON NIGHTS (monthly) = Casual open studio gatherings like this one
SALON SHOWS (biannual) = Curated group exhibitions with opening receptions (next one: Summer 2026)
