Tacoma Wayzgoose 2026 May 1st and 2nd from 10AM to 5PM.
Tacoma Wayzgoose is a free, community celebration of letterpress, printmaking, and book arts, hosted by Write253. This annual event brings together local artists, printers, and creatives for a hands-on weekend centered around making, learning, and sharing.
With over 50 vendors, Wayzgoose offers a vibrant mix of artist booths, printmakers, and book artists. Every vendor will provide a hands-on activity, giving visitors the opportunity to engage directly with the work and create free art to take home.
Throughout the weekend, you can print your own keepsakes, explore paper-making, and learn the basics of bookbinding. We’ll also have screen printing available for t-shirts—be sure to bring your own shirt to print on.
One of the highlights of Wayzgoose is the steamroller print, where artists carve a large linoleum blocks that are inked and printed using a steamroller. It’s a unique, large-scale process and a crowd favorite each year. Attendees will also have the chance to enter a raffle to win a steamroller print.
We’ll have food trucks on site, along with plenty of opportunities to explore, create, and connect with Tacoma’s creative community.
Whether you’re an artist, a curious beginner, or just looking for something creative to do with family and friends, Tacoma Wayzgoose offers a welcoming space to experience the arts in a hands-on way.
