Our annual Rooted in Joy bike ride is back for Climate Week NYC & this year, we’re riding through Harlem and El Barrio.
Join the Center for Cultural Power for the 2nd Annual Rooted in Joy Bike Ride, a free guided experience exploring climate justice through art, storytelling, culture, and place.
We’ll ride approximately 4 miles, making curated stops at public artworks, cultural landmarks, community spaces, and places connected to food and environmental justice. Together, we’ll explore climate through the neighborhoods, people, histories, and everyday experiences that shape our lives.
This isn’t a race or your typical bike tour. It’s a moving cultural experience: a chance to ride together, connect with art and community, and experience Climate Week NYC through a different lens.
Along the route, riders will receive free artwork, goodies, and special giveaways.
Meetup and check-in: 11:00–11:30 AM
Welcome and ride departure: 11:30 AM
Ride experience: Approximately two hours, including the ride and several 10–15-minute cultural and storytelling stops.
Climate is the root. Joy is the method. Storytelling is the bridge.
