Young Urban Zen Dessert Exchange
Come celebrate the YUZ sangha and support the Zen Center at our first-ever YUZ Dessert Exchange, part of Zenathon 2026.
The evening will begin at 7:00 PM, with a brief meditation and short Dharma talk from Abbot David Zimmerman, who will be speaking at YUZ for the first time. After that, we’ll move into the dining hall and courtyard for dessert, tea, and socializing.
We’re asking for a suggested donation of $20, and all guests will receive 8 tickets to use for dessert and tea. All proceeds will support the Zen Center’s programs, the rebuilding of the Tassajara zendo, and more.
If you’d like to bring a dessert or volunteer to help run the event, please sign up on the spreadsheet linked above. Homemade and store-bought desserts are both welcome - just please bring something portioned for sharing in small bites.
