Come explore the trails of the Angeles National Forest with fellow moms and littles! 🥾 We’ll hike roughly 3.5–4 miles of the Haines Canyon out-and-back trail. Expect a mix of a few steep sections and comfortable meandering paths, with both shade and exposed trail. Everyone is welcome to move at their own pace, whether you’re keeping a steady stride or slowing down for tiny walkers. We’ll stop at the first viewpoint for a photo and take a snack break in a flat area shaded by old oak trees. Bring sun protection for you and your little, hiking shoes, water, and snacks. Kids and expecting moms are welcome. Keep your eyes open for wildlife; these mountains are home to snakes, mountain lions, bobcats, and plenty of less ominous creatures. Parking is free in the surrounding residential area, so please be respectful of neighbors.
