Meet other women in the SF hardware community and learn a bit about their design practice as well as select client work. There will be show and tell! Meet someone new, learn something new! ABOUT WOMEN IN HARDWARE Since 2015, Women in Hardware has brought together exceptional founders, investors, engineers, designers, product leaders and manufacturers building ambitious companies at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds. Women in Hardware was founded by Kate McAndrew, who has been investing in hardware and software companies since 2012. Women in Hardware is headquartered in San Francisco and host events around the world. Kate is the Co-founder and General Partner at Baukunst, a collective of creative technologists advancing the art of building. She is leading pre-seed rounds in with $500k-$2M investments in new companies at the frontier of technology and design. Prior to starting Baukunst Kate was a partner at Bolt for eight years. ABOUT LEVEL level is a West Coast women-led Industrial Design shop. They design and realize timeless products that people love. The level studio is on a mission to create a global positive and progressive influence through smart, thoughtful design. level is run by Nichole Rouillac and Vicci Baigrie. Nichole is Founder and Creative Director of level. Nichole’s work at level has helped create new industry categories and propelled products into the global spotlight. The studio’s portfolio encompasses the likes of Microsoft, Google, Logitech, Colgate, FitBit, North, HTC, AliveCor, Tempo and Nex. level’s work has garnered wide recognition, including design awards such as FastCo., IDEA, Red Dot, iF and Spark. Notably, level was recognized as #03 in FastCompany’s Most Innovative Design Companies of 2021. Vicci is Chief Operations Officer at level. Functioning as the right-hand to Founders, her perspective is rooted in over 20 years of championing creatives and driving strategic thinking. Having consistently worked alongside CEOs and C-Suite, she has nurtured start-ups into internationally venerated companies, and works to shepherd her clients through the nuances and challenges of the creative process.
