Cor Karoli is a musical duo composed of classical concert pianist Karolina Kalo and electronic artist Tristan de Liège. Their sound weaves together neo-classical and ambient piano with electronic textures, creating a genre-defying experience. Rooted in the art of deep listening, their music invites their audiences on a reflective journey. By blending seemingly distant musical styles, Cor Karoli crafts a sophisticated dialogue between tradition and innovation.
Nigel Deane (they/them) is a Los Angeles-based musician and educator. They have an extensive background as a composer, producer, and electronic musician, and as an orchestral, ensemble/band, and solo violinist/violist, for organizations including wild Up, Monday Evening Concerts, Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, and Opera Povera. They have been working as a solo artist and with their band Fig and the Wasp to play with combining electronics, improvisation, experimentalism, orchestral composition, and songwriting into music that is accessible and forward-thinking. As a music teacher, Nigel is working to develop new pedagogical methods, formats, and materials to integrate their research of pedagogy that bring joy and cultural relevance into music education.
