The Ville Collective

Sound in Colour is an immersive hyper-local event series with eclectic artists & DJs, thought-provoking art installations and curated learning experiences for the community. On May 1st we are excited to celebrate International Worker's day by hosting an incredible night of music and conversation with our founder @dawn.koyote, LA based recording artist and DJ @boyuntitled, and LA-based interdependent music artist @annabellefreedman with an all vinyl set from @thedetroitprincess. Expect house, funk and disco on heavy rotation with experimental R&B, electro-pop and alt-soul live performances from emerging artists. We will be celebrating two very special birthdays, the release of Boy Untitled's "The Idea Of You" EP & the debut of Dawn Koyote's new single "Poppies" with Annabelle Freeman. The event features projects from The Artist Garden: an LA-based collective of artists pioneering a new school of thought based on collective accountability, support, and growth through self-initiated events, prioritizing equity and visibility for QT/BIPOC music. Our venue partner is De La Playa Records & Leisure a record store and non-alcoholic bar in Los Angeles' Highland Park neighborhood, known for its curated global music selection, tropical aesthetic, and community-focused, sober-friendly environment with mocktails, craft beverages, and plants. It offers a unique hangout spot with listening stations, a patio, and a focus on quality over quantity in its vinyl collection, specializing in dance 12-inches and international music. This event will have a suggested $10 donation for presale and $15 at the door. NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS! Venmo - @thevillecollective and present your receipt at the door.
