The clothes on your back are a political act. A dollar spent on industrial fashion is a dollar towards war and ecological collapse. Reminder: 100B garments (mostly of cheap quality from oil-based inputs) are produced every year.
Patchwork is a community clothing swap and celebration of sustainable style at The Expo, a new rental studio & event space in West Adams.
Taking place during LA Climate Week, it’s a part of the shift toward conscious, creative living and dressing.
Music, open bar courtesy of YUZY, plant-based tacos from Tierra Taco, a live upcycling station, pop-up photoshoot, and a pile of clothes you're going to want to dig through!

Trade with intention. Every piece of clothing that changes hands here is a small act of defiance against a system built on extraction and disposability #nonewclothes
THE SWAP
Bring some clothes and take some clothes. Try to bring pieces that you've loved and would genuinely love to see on someone else.
Changing rooms and full-length mirrors provided. No undergarments or heavily soiled garments, please.
Leftover items will be donated to partner organizations.

PHOTOSHOOT BY PHOTOBOHEMIA
Come in your best vintage, thrifted, or upcycled fit—we're gonna capture it. Find something new in the pile and then we'll shoot that look too! This event is a fashion moment.
WORKSHOP BY MAISON CHATZKY

UPCYCLING STATION
Maison Chatzky and friends will be running a free upcycle station for quick textile repairs, alterations and bedazzling!
TACOS
Plant-based tacos by Tierra Taco available for purchase all afternoon. While we love the fashion, the absolute lowest hanging fruit for personal impact on climate is to eat a plant-based diet.
