Many people attend workshops or exhibitions but have few opportunities to reconnect afterward. Are you looking for an ongoing place to continue conversations, share new work, receive feedback, and build collaborations? Join us at MAD Arts.
MAD Art + Tech Meetups is a three-month pilot series of free gatherings for South Florida’s creative technology community. Held on the first Sunday of October, November, and December, the meetups are participant-driven gatherings for artists, designers, creative technologists, musicians, students, educators, and anyone interested in electronic, digital, and immersive arts. Sharing is optional, but we encourage participants to present works in progress, demonstrate creative coding projects, projection art, interactive installations, synthesizers, digital artwork, and research. It’s the perfect space to ask questions, discuss ideas, or simply meet potential collaborators.
Topics may include: TouchDesigner, projection mapping, creative coding, generative art, game development, AI art, modular synthesizers, physical computing, digital fabrication, tinkering and hacking, and other emerging creative technologies.
Participants also receive an exclusive bonus — either 50% off exhibition admission or 50% off a MAD Arts annual membership.
The series will be organized and facilitated by Kimberley Bianca, Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University. Please email kimberley.bianca@gmail.com if you have any questions about what to bring and how to share.
