"I need to surf as much as possible while I still can.” That was my first thought when a routine mammogram six months ago revealed a tumor, and I was told I needed a surgical biopsy to rule out breast cancer. When the pathology report confirmed I had an aggressive form of it, I immediately texted my surf girlfriends and drove to the beach to process the news while surfing with them."
Join us for an evening celebrating the spirit of the Northern California surf community and the incredible strength found in the face of adversity.
Through a presentation from Danielle Cass, we’ll explore a deeply personal story of breast cancer, resilience, and triumph—one that speaks to the courage it takes to face life’s unexpected challenges and the community that helps carry us through them.
We will also be showing a short clip from a new documentary on Danielle’s journey.
The evening will also feature the photography of Matt Berridge, whose work captures the beauty, character, and unmistakable spirit of Northern California’s surf culture.
Come gather with friends, meet fellow members of the surf and photography community, and celebrate stories of strength, hope, and triumph.
