Hi everyone! I’m just a girl who lives in north beach looking for some more friends to surf with! ig: @graceclendenin
I’m new to organizing this and thought it be fun to have the surf equivalent of a run club. Let’s meet at Soul Grind in Pacifica at 9:30. Everyone welcome!
No experience required! If you’ve never surfed before I can give you tips and you can rent gear at the surf shop next to the coffee shop for ~$30!
Schedule:
- 9:30-10: meet at Soul Grind Coffee Roasters. Get coffee and chat!
- 9:30-9:50: If anyone needs to rent a surfboard or wetsuit, go next door to NorCal surf shop or Traveler surf shop. NorCal is cheaper but Traveler is better quality and women owned. Once you get your gear meet back outside Soul Grind with your stuff. At this point you can be wearing your wetsuit or put it on at the beach.
- 10:00: We’ll walk over from Soul Grind to the beach. I’m planning to set up camp near the creek.
- 10-10:15: I can give tips to anyone who needs it!
- 10:15-11: free surf! Then everyone leaves on their own time.RSVP Here

Second Sundays Irish Partner Dance Class & Social (September 13)

🚨‼️ IMPORTANT: Beginning in September, these events are moving to the SECOND SUNDAYS of the month, with occasional exceptions for holidays, and start ONE HOUR EARLIER (5-9pm). Please update your calendars. ‼️🚨
🇮🇪 Have you ever been moved by the sound of real Irish music and just felt like dancing? There’s an exciting new Irish partner dancing event in San Francisco, combining welcoming lessons with the joy of dancing to live music.
📆 We meet on the second Sunday of every month. (For certain holidays, we move to the 1st or 3rd Sunday; check this page for details.)
🗣️ At 5:00pm (SHARP!), we begin with clear, supportive instruction designed to bring brand-new dancers comfortably onto the floor.
💃 At 6:00pm, once everyone is moving, we transition to dancing to live traditional Irish music played by a rotating cast of musicians who bring energy, lift, and variety to each evening.
🎻 Tonight’s live band will be Ceol Sa Cheo!
This night is intentionally inclusive:
☘️ newcomers learning their first steps
☘️ experienced dancers enjoying the drive of live music
⏰ If you’ve never done Irish partner dance, make sure to arrive before 5pm so you don’t miss the start of the lesson. We squeeze a lot into an hour and nothing is taught after 6pm!
👯 Come on your own or with friends. No partner required – we’ll form groups on the floor.
🅿️ Parking is VERY difficult in this neighborhood. Please arrive 20-30 minutes early to find a space (seriously). We recommend you carpool or take public transit instead.

💰 Cost: $10+ requested donation to the musicians. Additional donations are graciously accepted and all go towards keeping our wonderful Irish music scene thriving in the Bay Area!
