Another month, another Zeit food crawl, this time in iconic Red Hook.
Don't let the tough commute stop you - Red Hook is difficult to get to by train, but it has one of the best food scenes in the city, as well as one of the prettiest views and vibes in all of New York.
Our itinieary:
1. Hometown Bar-B-Que - American BBQ is not considered one of New York's specialties. But Hometown Bar-B-Que is the exception - considered the ONLY truly great BBQ in the city.
2. The Red Hook Focacceria - Zeit celebrates neighborhood institutions, but we also celebrate the new up and coming spots. This new focacceria is very affordable at only $3 a slice and is delicious.
3. Steve's Key Lime Pie - Come visit the only place in New York where you can have real Key Lime Pies, made with authentic Key Limes.
4. Strong Rope Brewery - After a fun day of eating great food, what better way to unwind than celebrating at this brewery on the pier. Picturesque views of the city, affordable drinks, and enough space to play games and chat with your fellow food crawlers.
Come hungry, come friendly
