Your community is more important than your first product. Yes, we said it. Early-stage founders are taught to obsess over the MVP: build it, ship it, iterate, find distribution. Meanwhile, some of the biggest companies in the world have been quietly finding their way into our group chats, run clubs, campuses, creator circles, hobbies and the places people already gather. They understand something founders often learn too late: getting close to the right people can shape what you build, how you distribute it, why people stay and whether anyone cares in the first place. Your first product will probably change. Features will disappear. Positioning will move. You may even realize you’re building the wrong thing. But build the right community and you have people to learn from, build alongside, test with, sell to, grow with—and bring the next person into the room. Come hungry. Bring the company you’re building and the people problem you haven’t figured out yet. Presented by RoamHer. This event is a part of #SFTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
