October’s community dye day will explore local fall colors - rich tannins from walnut, eucalyptus and oak halls, and bright oranges from late season marigolds.
We provide small pre-mordanted* fabric for experimenting with, and folks are also welcome to bring small, pre-mordanted pieces (smaller than a pillow case) of any natural fibers (cotton/silk/linen/wool) as well.
Community day days are an accessible monthly offering for learning and sharing knowledge about working with natural dyes. All experience levels are welcome. Suggested donation of $15-35, NOTAFLOF
Date: Sunday August 9th
Time: 11-1pm. Plan to come by 11:30 to put your samples into the dye pot.
